Online Child Care Training Approved in Ohio

Ohio accepts our online child care training classes. Anyone, anywhere is welcome to enroll in one of our online child care classes. If your state does have a training approval process, that information is detailed below. Your state may not specifically approve trainings toward the required hours of professional development that you need each year. If so, you may use these classes! Please note that you may also use these class hours towards 120 hours needed for the CDA certificate.
Ohio
- Because Child Care Lounge is an approved IACET provider, participants in our trainings can received Ohio approved credit for those hours as CEUs can be converted to Ohio approved hours.
- All classes are included in the Ohio Professional Registry from the Ohio Child Care Resource and Referral Association (OCCRRA).

- Classes Available: All of Child Care Lounge classes are available in Ohio. View the directory of all online classes.
- Upon instructor review and successful completion of a class, we will send you a certificate reflecting the class title, student name, hours of training and CEUS, date of completion and IACET seal.
- If you are a provider interested in starting an in-home child care program or looking to get started working in the child care field, please contact the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, Early Learning and Development Department for specific child care licensing requirements, rules and regulations of your state.
- Child care staff members and administrator of a child care center and Type A home providers shall complete a minimum of fifteen clock hours of training annually until a total of forty-five hours have been completed. At least twenty of the forty-five hours of training shall be in the topic of child development and 10 hours total can be in electronic media.
- Child care Type B home providers must complete six clock hours of training in any of the annually. Once continuously licensed, two hours of this training each year must be in child growth and development. Audiovisual or electronic media training or self-instructional study may be used to meet the required six annual hours of training.
